Shipping / Receiving Clerk
JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for all receiving, re-packaging and shipping
functions. Receive incoming materials and stock or prepare for inspection
according to instructions. Package, register, and prepare shipping materials
for pick-up or common carrier.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Receive and document incoming parts, stock and prepare for inspection.
· Package outgoing parts and prepare for pick up or common carrier
according to instruction.
· Maintain adequate stock of packing and shipping materials.
· Manage FEDEX or UPS shipping and tracking procedures.
· Handle and dispose of products and inspected parts according to cleanliness
and environmental standards.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
Generally self-directed with tasks occasionally assigned by QA Manager and
assisted by Manufacturing. Required to work closely with Manufacturing and
Design Engineering, Quality Assurance, Service, Planning, Purchasing and Cost
Accounting.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Decisions made concerning process improvements, tooling requirements and component
disposition and the timeliness of new product introductions can significantly
impact the
Profitability of the company. Accuracy and attention to detail are requirements
for success in this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
· 1 year experience in shipping and receiving in a related business
field.
· Proficiency with PC's and MS Word.
SPECIAL DEMANDS:
§ May be required to travel occasionally.
