Accounts Payable Clerk
JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounts Payable Clerk will utilize the accounting system to review payment
due dates and follow up. This position is also responsible for negotiation
of payment terms and release of payments according to terms.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Review the accounting system on a daily basis for due payments. Release
payments according to agreed terms.
· Maintain payment due lists, review merchandise received versus invoice
statements. Take corrective actions when necessary.
· Review of invoices and terms, and appropriate receiving documents,
release payments using the accounting system.
· In dispute cases, investigate correct billing and shipping procedures,
clarify with vendors and review terms. Grant payment accordingly.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties will be assigned by the Controller as needed. Our company policy
requires cross training in other areas. These areas can include but are not
limed to accounts payable, financial statistics reporting and others.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Comprehensive analysis prior to decision-making is crucial. Erroneous decisions
can have a serious impact on the overall success of company operations and
may jeopardize business activities. Accuracy and attention to detail will
be required for success in this position.
REQUIREMENTS:
· BS degree in Accounting or related financial field.
· Experience in accounting, financial analysis and accounts payable.
